Meet Dr. Julie Stefanski

Dr. Julie Stefanski knows first-hand the need for a comprehensive health history and evaluation, which is not currently the standard of care in our country. She understands the priority and need for lifestyle medicine. Lifestyle medicine may at first look unconventional, but should be normalized as it is, by definition, the research, prevention and treatment of disease caused by lifestyle factors. Dr. Julie believes it should be the first line of treatment as it is a low-cost and low risk intervention which seeks to harmonize the systems. Lifestyle medicine involves the following: personalized dietary advice, personalized exercise prescription and an in-depth look at stressors, toxic chemicals, environment and more which may affect the health, wellbeing and manifestation of disease.

How did Dr. Julie grow to value lifestyle medicine? After years of reporting to doctors from her late teens to early twenties that she felt incredibly unwell and later leaving their offices with perfect blood work, she met a holistic practitioner who took a closer look, ordered more in-depth testing and came to an evidence-based diagnosis. With her background as an undergraduate student at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and coursework in molecular, cellular, developmental biology and physiology, she readily understood the doctor's explanation and how, on a cellular level, her body was not functioning well. She began to see how her own lifestyle factors (dietary habits, exercise habits, unique childhood stressors and more) played a significant role in the onset of disease. She became consumed with medical literature on these new principles and decided to follow in her doctor's footsteps and become a functional medicine chiropractor.

She now helps heal thousands of patients in the same manner. She leads with heart, compassion and a commitment to continued education and an in-depth look into her patients' health. She prides herself on her ability to address the root cause of illness and utilize advanced laboratory analysis, quality nutraceutical intervention, exercise prescription and her own two hands (chiropractic and manual therapies) in place of drug therapy to help patients heal, live well and increase health span.

In her spare time, Dr. Julie enjoys the simple life: exploring nature by skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, swimming in the ocean, cooking healthy meals and spending time with loved ones.

“Born healer who really knows the science and art behind her medicine”
