Meet Dr. Julie Stefanski, DC
Hi, I'm Dr. Julie Stefanski β the doctor, and the whole team, at Wholistic Abode, a woman-owned chiropractic practice in Newport Beach.
My path into medicine started the way a lot of my patients' paths to me do: with my own body refusing to cooperate, and a healthcare system that kept handing me symptoms instead of answers. Through my teens and twenties I struggled with health problems that conventional medicine couldn't seem to explain, let alone fix. What finally changed everything was a practitioner who looked at all of me β my labs, my nutrition, my stress, my environment, my history β and treated the root cause instead of the loudest symptom. That's the moment I decided to become that kind of doctor for other people.
So I did the deep work to get there. I earned a degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder, then a Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences β a 4,200-hour doctoral program grounded in anatomy, physiology, and clinical diagnosis. I've kept going ever since: I'm a candidate for board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists (DABCI), an intensive post-doctoral program in internal diagnostics, and I'm certified in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, with additional training in myofascial release, cupping, IASTM, and Pilates-based rehabilitation.
What that means for you is that I practice lifestyle medicine first β because it's the lowest-risk, lowest-cost, most powerful tool we have. I use comprehensive laboratory testing, personalized nutrition, exercise prescription, and an honest look at your stress and your environment to understand what's actually driving how you feel. Then I meet you where you are, explain what I'm seeing in plain language, and coach you through changes you can actually live with.
I built Wholistic Abode to be exactly what its name says β a home, not a clinic. Here you're not a chart or a seven-minute appointment. You're a whole person, working one-on-one with a doctor who genuinely wants to know your story and has the training to do something about it.
When I'm not in the studio you'll find me in the ocean, on a mountain, cycling, or in the kitchen β usually supervised by Elton, my cat, who takes his role very seriously. And if you do come in, say hi to Frankie, our office dog and greeter.
If any of this sounds like what you've been looking for, I'd love to meet you.
